1. Tapio Kanninen Joins StraX Board
Former Chief of the Policy Planning Unit at the UN Department of Political Affairs in New York (1998-2005), and later the Head of the Unit at the DPA for Cooperation with Regional Organizations, in which function he planned the agendas, documentation and proceedings for the UN Secretary-General’s annual meetings with heads of regional and other intergovernmental organizations, Tapio Kanninen, joins StraX Board. Currently Tapio is Co-Director of the Sustainable Global Governance Project at Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies.

2. StraX´s Faculty Member in a New French Foresight and Innovation Master Programme
The first French master programme in Foresight and Innovation is based at Angers University and taught in English. The master programme employs interactive teaching methods, latest technology and creative pedagogy to explicate the field of foresight, and innovation and its practical applications useful to the business executive in the global economy. StraX is happy to cooperate with many of the leading experts on the field.

3. Mika Aaltonen Selected to "2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century"
StraX Head Mika Aaltonen has been studying decision-making, complex cause and effect chains, and time for fifteen years. For five years his work has gained international recognition. The latest acknowledgement comes from Cambridge, England. He was just selected to “2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century” by International Biographical Centre. “There is an agreement that time is an essential element is social life and that it should be central to any social theory, but most of the social theories are atemporal. An explicit focus on time would reveal new ways of understanding and a different use of existing concepts”, Aaltonen states.
